Inspired by the true events surrounding a youth trapped in the treacherous Guna caves, also known as the Devil’s Kitchen, in Kodaikanal, the film promises a blend of adventure, friendship, and the fight against impossible odds.
The trailer opens with a voiceover weaving an air of mystery and danger around the infamous caves, aptly named the Devil’s Kitchen. Dark, claustrophobic visuals set the stage for the story of a group of childhood friends who find themselves thrust into a real-life nightmare during their trip to Kodaikanal. Chidambaram, who captivated audiences with his directorial debut “Jan. E. Man” in 2021, returns to helm both the direction and writing for “Manjummel Boys.” Produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony, the film promises a visually stunning experience, shot across the picturesque landscapes of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
