Turbo Movie Review | mammooty
The film is an action-comedy with the leading role performed by the famous actor Mammootty who played Jose, a bus/taxi driver known as “Turbo” because of his love to high speeds. The movie is a comedy and works expands messages on social concerns; and it impresses with action sequences. ’Mammootty does a good job, however the plot is stereotyped being based on revenge and rebellion against or for injustice.
Familiar Formula
Humor is relatively abundant and used in the crude manner that appeals to fans of slapstick comedy. From a plot that might sound cliché, the film does a decent job at providing some entertainment and the fight scenes are decent. The movie gains new heights simply due to Mammootty’s performance and it remains, all in all, a rather plain and simple, basic Malayalam film that revolves around boy-girl love story. But for those expecting an untangled storyline or new punchlines, it may be a letdown.
